Wear the Ruin — Cosmetic Upgrades in Circle of Ruin

Hey everyone,

In Circle of Ruin, every stone circle, every grove, and every battle tells a story. So should your character.

I am excited to share that cosmetic upgrades are now a core feature of the game. By earning in-game currency through gameplay, players can unlock and equip a variety of outfits for Ash — each designed to reflect different aspects of the world, the journey, and the ancient traditions he fights to protect.

From weathered druidic robes infused with natural motifs to war-scarred leathers fit for ritual combat, each outfit offers more than a visual change — it deepens your connection to the character and the land itself. Some speak of the old gods. Others hint at blood rites, fallen clans, or sacred roles long forgotten.

My goal is to allow players to express who Ash has become through their choices, visually echoing the path they’ve taken through the game. Whether you see Ash as a haunted protector, a ruthless avenger, or a spiritual sentinel, there’s an appearance that will reflect that bond.

These cosmetics are purely visual — they don’t affect stats or gameplay — but their impact on immersion is powerful. I want players to feel seen inside the world. I want you to craft your own version of Ash, one that fits your connection to the world you’re trying to save.

Customization is just one of many ways I am making Circle of Ruin a more personal and expressive experience. As development continues, we’ll be adding more looks, more cultural details, and more chances to let your Ash reflect your story.
